Matilda Goad has a talent for shaking a cocktail of ideas together and coming out with something fun and unexpected. Her style, which she applies across a diverse range of disciplines, could probably be best characterised as ‘neo-country’. Rooted in her upbringing in rural England, it is in parts unapologetically old fashioned – think chintz, scallops and frills – while also calling upon a wide frame of contemporary references, from Americana to Japanese restaurant design
